Troubleshoot Remote Computers with Soluto
The experience to troubleshoot a remote PC problem can be frustrating.
Troubleshoot remote computers
- Sign up
Head to www.soluto.com and create an account. After logging in, we are taken through a get-started wizard. We can safely skip all the steps in the wizard and go straight to the Soluto Dashboard. - Add Devices
We can now start adding devices. Click on the ‘Add PC/iPhone/iPad’ button in the dashboard and then select the appropriate tab for the type of device we want to add. We can add a friends’ Windows PC by sending them an email from here. - On the Remote PC
Soluto sends an eamil to your friend with a link to download the Soluto scanner to their machine. The software informs us once our friend has accepted our request to assist them and downloaded the software
- Analyze remote computer.
We can now click on the friend’s machine to analyze it in detail. Soluto informs us about the available resources on the remote machine and whether there are any updates available for the installed apps, and even lets you install more apps. - Fix a problem
The best thing about Soluto is that it flags any issues it encounters. For example, it lets you know if it finds any apps that are slowing down the boot time and can be safely turned off, or if the hard disk needs to be defragmented
- Remote Access
We can also access the remote computer, which displays its desktop on our web browser. By default, Soluto asks permission from our friend before sharing their desktop, but they can allow us to access their PC at any time.
